| Seabass on the Prey69 |
Here's aquick report from Croatian fisherman, Denis Savretic.
'So, on my last fishing trip to the seashore (Peninsula Istra in Croatia) , the result of 5 hours of non-stop fishing was one big zero. Strong Northern winds, extremely clear and cold water, and a total absence of baitfish (which means no predator fish near the coast) produced ideal conditions for a no-strike day. It was almost 12 hours, the sun was straight above my head, and it was clear that fishing time was over.
I tried top water lures, I tried hitting the bottom with soft baits, and of course I tried almost all of my favorite minnow lures from the tackle box. Finally, I took a Savage Gear Prey 69, and cast it out as far as I could - near a big underwater rock, I saw from the spot where I was standing.
Fast twitch, pause, fast twitch, pause, twitch-twitch-Bang, fish on! 0.18 mono combined with a light fishing rod fought the fish with no problem, and soon a nice seabass was in my hands. Quick picture shoot, and off you go back in the sea, with cheers for making the fishing day successful!'
Keep the pictures and reports coming, whether it’s big Pike or any other great predator fish - we cannot get enough! info@savage-gear.com.com
