| Butch21 does it again! |
 From German Rute & Rolle Team, with Christopher Paschmanns and Arnulf Ehrchen, we received a short report from their short trip to Denmark last week.
“Once a year the whole editorial team of German fishing magazine Rute & Rolle spends a weekend discussing their own magazines, planning new trips – and fish together. 2009 saw them fishing Silkeborg lakes area in Denmark. Certainly information about the lakes was gathered beforehand, so some hot spots on the enormous chain of river “Gudenå” lakes could be selected before the trip. With detailed hints both from local experts and some German predator fisherman decisions where a lot easier. Fishing started on Friday and the sunny day in Denmark turned into a very special one for Rute & Rolle-editor Arnulf Ehrchen. Trolling the 21-cm Savage Gear Butch, which already gave him several big fish this season resulted in a fat 80 cm Zander late morning. The fish took the super naturalistic walleye-colour fished about 5m down over six meters of water - What a start! But the best was still to come. After hours giving very few fish for the whole team, the weather changed dramatically. Rain starting and strong winds blowing across the lake turned the fish on within minutes. Over ten meters of water Arnulf’s Butch was hit hard once again and a violent ten minute battle started. But with two of the three Owner trebles firmly in the upper jaw the fish did not have a chance to escape and was netted first time on the surface. So Arnulf finally found the time for admiring his new personal best pike – measuring a fantastic 123 cm and in perfect condition, with a very broad back! Joy was overwhelming with the whole team as most of the other members shared the excitement of the fight in their boats close to Arnulf’s. Both super fish where released to grow even bigger after a short foto session! We congratulate Arnulf Ehrchen, with the super Zander and the new incredible PB pike – that we are sure is over 15kg+ !! The Butch 21cm did it again, a real magic lure when it comes to big predators.
