Pelagic Monster nails 4Play!

From German angler Felix Bock, we received a great report: "During my fishing trips to Sweden, Dalsland, the last years, I have been quite successful with your 19cm 4Play Liplure Baits. But this year, exactly on the 6th of june, this pattern brought me a huge old pike mama, almost 51 inches (129cm)long! The strike over approximately 60 feet of water was sensational and the fight was hard and long, but at the end I managed to land the huge mama. This big fish, 129 cm, approximately 16-17 kg, was released as quick as possible without scaling - it swam away fresh. It was my personal best pike! With his big teeth and brutal fight the 4play tail was broken during the battle! What a shame, it was a real good and lucky bait, ... have to get a new one ...The 4Play is a real top favourite, so don´t waist time and get the lures in the water, Tight lines, fishing regards from Germany"

A Savage Monster!

From sport fishing guide Per Ola Jonasson on http://per2fish4u.blogspot.com we just received a hectic report. Per had his first test with the new Savage Herring Cutbait lures – fishing with well known Danish big fish angler, Allan Zeuthen. The 3 man team landed a handful of super Halibut, doing the first testing with the lure – Allan Zeuthen hooked into the biggest one – measuring over 200cm – and weighing approximately 100kg+. After a super fight with the huge fish – it was released by Allan swimming along with it – the fish was tagged with nbr.6023!
The day after – they tried for other species and Per Ola, hooked a super wolffish also on the Savage Herring cutbait!! The new lure is part of the new Saltwater series from Savage Gear – that is to be released the coming season!

4Play Musky Winner!

USA angler Michael D. Floyd won the first Musky Tourney on Curlew lake with this super 44,5" 113cm musky! Michael downsized, Throwing a 13cm 4Play liplure at the fish - that absolutly ate it!!

Water Wolfs!

Savage Gear Pro staff, Henrik S. Lund and Christian “the Joker” Møller – hit Jackpot big time last week! In their constant search for new adventures – they fished a big Norwegian River and lake Delta in Search for giant Northern Pike – true wild Wild Water wolfs!
Their many years of experience and angling skills led to some incredible days with more than 150 pike to their boat – with an insane 27 pike over 100cm+ topped by a Majestic water wolf of 127cm! (pictured). Henrik and The Joker – used the new 10” 4play swimbait to search the vast areas in pursuit of the migrating flocks of giant water wolfs! Their tactics and superior lure fishing skills – led to several double hooks ups with 10kg+ fish and some incredible hours of landing and releasing big brutal pike! By far the best lures was the 10” 4Plays in Firetiger and Golden ambulance colours on the huge delta plateaus – but also the 30cm Alien eels – with the new add on spinnerblade in Golden ambulance made a serious difference in the deeper parts of the lake.

Dropshot Giants!

Savage Gear Consultant, Anthony Glascoe, had a smashing result – targeting big Perch in Scotland – Anthony fished a reservoir known for big perch and used the Drop shot method – with Savage Gears Dying minnow – fished side down. The method was so effective that it was all bend rods and Anthony came very close to the Scottish perch record – just 6oz short! In total Ant, landed incredible 12 perch over 3 lbs with 2 superb fish over 4lbs – biggest 4lb 8oz!! What a result!

Le consultant Savage Gear Anthony Glascoe a obtenu des résultats de fou en ciblant les grosses perches en Écosse. Dans un réservoir renommé, il a utilisé des Dying Minnow montés à plat en drop shot. La méthode a été si efficace qu'il s'est approché très près du record d'Ecosse (moins de 180gr !). Au total, Anthony a sorti 12 perches de plus d'1,3kg dont 2 de plus d'1,7kg. Un sacré résultat !!!

Deviator does it !

British Gary Green, based in Denmark, had a great pike premiere fishing a local lake – several nice pike hammered his 16cm Deviator in Blue silver – fished from the reeds and out over 4-5m of water. Biggest fish was this well build 9,9kg pike that put up a great battle on Gary’s beloved Butch light rod. Gary is sure his new Prologic cap – gives him reinforced strength and confidence – we shall see!! The pike fishing in Scandinavia is red hot right now and the predators hit the lures with incredible aggression – so get out there – now is the time!!

Herring Spoon again!!

Danish big fish hunter, Einar Pedersen, have done it again! Einar have enjoyed some fantastic salmon fishing during april, fishing with our 2009 release Herring spoon! The biggest fish so far, that fell to a 14cm Herring spoon in 26-YG Silver (Yellow Green silver) was this super fish pictured – pulling the scales to 16kg+ !!
We congratulate Einar, with the super Salmon fishing so far and look forward to seeing more!

Sensational Salmon fishing!

The last weeks, many Danish anglers have experienced a fantastic Salmon fishing in the waters between the southern Danish islands and the German Rugen – Many big and incredible beautiful salmon have been landed. Henrik S.Lund and The joker had few days in their new boat landing several fine Salmon and trout – best lure by far was Savage Gear’s Herring spoon in 14cm and Lemon back colour! More anglers had great success with the new herring spoons – see them in the saltwater gallery. Best speed was between 2.3 and 3 knots!!

Butch 21cm Does it Again!

Italian Savage Gear consultant, Marco Giudici is at it again! After few eventless days on a big Italian water - luck changed and Marco found some action whilst trolling the Butch 21cm in Rainbow trout colour. The superb looking 11,5kg Pike - hammered the lure over 8m of water - Marco trolling the lure, from an area of 20meters depth - into an area with tops coming up to 6 and 8meters far from the bank. After a superb fight in the clear water - the fish was returned unharmed. When returning to the docks area, Marco - changed one rod to a 16cm Butch in Firetiger - targeting a Zander in area of 4-6meters of water - the result was an immaculate looking Zander of 7,5kg!! What a day - 2 big fish in the boat on the same day!!
