Superb River Pike!

From Belgium Predator Specialist. Olivier Martinovic, we received yet a great report! Olivier, was fishing on the River Meuse in Belgium on this lovely summer day and once more a big Pike could not resist his 19cm 4Play lip lure in Dirty silver colour.
The fish put up a tremendous battle and was indeed in superb condition – pulling the scales to 12kg+ and only measuring 106cm – broad shouldered and fat. Fantastic summer fish! Olivier Uses the Savage Butch light 15-50g for the 19cm 4play lures!
We received some great Black Bass reports from France, Huge pike from Canada, and saltwater action from Florida – see them in the gallery.

Summer Zanders!

The summer Zander fishing is red hot now - early mornings either fishing with soflures or trolling Hardlures will give you great action! Pictured is our Big predator specialist, Henrik S. Lund with yet another superb specimen Zander! This one nailed a Butch 16cm lure, in a new 2009 release colour we are testing, fished over 12m water 3-4m down. 88cm 6kg+

Savage Pike fishing in Norway!

Savage Gear consultant's, The Joker and Henrik Lund did it again! On their recent trip to Norway, they hooked and landed many immaculate Pike - all on Savage lures! Henrik and Joker, have been testing many of the new 2009 colours and models and the results are looking great!!
Henrik and Joker, landed 8 fish above the 100cm mark - topped a by super fish of 116cm and 11,3kg! The very best lure, turned out to be the 19cm 4Play swim & Jerk in Firetiger and the new Fluo red & Gold colours. Mads Grosell and Norwegian, Prologic consultant, Tor Ola Dehli joined up for a few days fishing and shared another 4 fish over 100cm - again the 4Play Swim & Jerk in firetiger was the best lure of the day!
The fishing was great fun and many good hours of action was taped for coming Savage Gear Fishing DVD's

17cm Freestyler Keeps rocking!

Swedish Pike Angler, Patrik Carlsson, with an immaculate Swedish Pike - caught on the 17cm Freestyler in 05-Firetiger colour!
The perfect Pike pulled the scales to 11,4kg and measured 108cm.
Now it is really time for some great pike action on big afterspawn pike, that are both agreesive and very hungry!
Use big baits in Bright colours - Like 19cm 4Plays, 17cm Freestylers or the very popular Deviator!!

Prey89 Rules!

Prey115 Does it again!

Danish Angler, Claus Jensen, went out on Øresund, the sund between Denmark and Sweden yet again, to follow up on the first success with the Prey115 lure. The result came after less than 30 min of fishing – over 30 feet of water the lure was nailed 15feet down and immediately Claus knew it was a big fish. The huge fish, rose to the surface at once, leaving a big bow of water behind it – then it just swam all the way to the boat with out much fuss! Then it saw the boat and took some strong long rushes, before Mads could safely put the net under the immaculate fish!
We leave the picture of the incredible fish to speak for it self! 6,5kg of the purest Silver!
Once more the Prey115 delivers!

Prey115 – Super Seatrout action!

Savage Gear Chief designer, Mads Grosell, had the opportunity to test the real value of the Prey115, during a short boat session in Øresund, the sund, between Denmark and Sweden. The Prey115, is a Sandeel (Tobis) imitation, designed for long cast’s – and fast twitching retrieve, but also for trolling a speeds between 2-3,5kts. The Lure has proven to be very, very effective, when then the fish are chasing Sandeel – this yet again to be proved. After 2min fishing, Mads, hooked into the first superb silver Seatrout and shortly after, another fine fish hammered the lure – awesome fighters! The session, that Mads Shared with Danish Angler, Claus in his boat, resulted in 3 nice Seatrout, a couple lost and 3 nice Cod.
The Prey115 took ALL fish!

Team Savage Belgium!

Savage Gear Fieldtester from Belgium, Christophe Depouille, had some fantastic Zander action on the last day of the season in Belgium, landing several nice Zanders on Shallow water. The biggest one, beeing a real specimen of 98cm and 9,78kg!
Incredible fish caught on a Deviator Jerk bait in 09-Golden ambulance Colour!

Deviator rules Coldfront!

During the Easter day’s massive cold front over Scandinavia, many pike anglers drew blanks or stayed home! Savage Gear Product Manager, Mads Grosell, had some unfinished business with a Danish pond with a good stock of double figure pike – the pond was half way iced over when Mads arrived – leaving little hope for good action.
Soon it became obvious that the day was to become very hectic indeed – Mads found within the first hour that the Deviator in 09-Golden Ambulance colour could get even the most stale and inactive pike into a state of total aggression, nailing the lure time after time – leaving Mads and Friend, with 15 superb pike to share between them – with several fish between 5 and 8,2kg in the boat! Mads fished the Deviator with a relatively slow shifting pace, on a 60cm Spectrum FC 0,93mm trace!
